Why create a costume for such a minor character? Well, I imagine that most Rebels wear a uniform like this while serving aboard Rebel ships. The other reason is that this costume is so dern easy!

Materials needed:
Boots - Black vinyl, black cloth tape, black shoes or boots.
Belt and holster - Black vinyl, black cloth tape, black web work belt, pop rivets, Blastech DL-44 pistol.
Gloves - Jersey gloves, black vinyl, black cloth tape.
Shirt - Blue Oxford style shirt, khaki T-shirt one size larger that what you normally wear.
Pants - Khaki sweat pants.
General insignia - cardboard, plastic laminating sheet, bitmap of insignia, velcro, glue stick and staples.

See the Basics section for instructions on building the boots and belt with holster.

The General insignia is in a bitmap file. Open the file in your favorite graphics program (I use Microsoft Publisher) and enlarge the image so that the General chest tag is 3" (7.5 cm) wide. Print it out. Cut out the insignia and use the glue stick to glue it to cardboard. Cover it with the plastic laminating sheet and cut out the insignia. For the chest insignia I stapled Velcro to it and sewed a little piece of Velcro to the khaki T-shirt. For the collar insignia, I stuck thumbtacks through them and pinned them to the blue shirt collar.
